Inbrace Orthodontic Therapy – Real Invisible Braces

No one likes being told they need braces. Many people dislike traditional braces as they give the face an unseemly appearance. Whereas clear aligners or Invisalign braces are not fully invisible and require much self-discipline and motivation to work effectively. Not to mention, braces are a long-term treatment, and your orthodontic costs may run very high over the months or years you’ll be wearing them.

Luckily, there is an excellent alternative to traditional and Invisalign braces, and that is the new Inbrace technology.

What is Inbrace?

Inbrace has been designed at the University of Southern California (USC) using the combined efforts of leading dental, orthodontic, craniofacial and engineering research programmes in the country. It is FDA registered and has been made available to orthodontists and to patients.

The Inbrace targets the key aspects of orthodontic and dental treatment. Using slim brackets and wire attached at the back of your teeth, the Inbrace is the world’s first 100% invisible brace. It fits comfortably against your teeth’s natural shape and works super-fast to align them.

Worried about crooked smiles while taking selfies? Not anymore! By choosing Inbrace, you can get your teeth fixed in just a few weeks. Get that megawatt smile of yours back with these revolutionary braces that are truly as invisible as claimed!

Why go for Inbrace?

There are so many reasons to choose Inbrace as your go-to orthodontic treatment:

  • Easy to maintain

Traditional braces and clear aligners both need regular cleaning, as they have small spaces that can trap food particles and liquids. On the other hand, the Inbrace is very low maintenance. With this brace, you are able to brush and floss your teeth like normal.

  • No odour or discolouration

Most common types of braces begin to lose their original coloration over time unless you clean them thoroughly. With the Inbrace, you won’t need to worry about that. Tucked securely behind your teeth, these braces do not pose any risk of odour or discolouration with time.

  • Live life to the fullest

A great thing about the Inbrace is that it stays in the background and doesn’t interfere in your daily life. You can eat and drink what you want, smile bright and take those selfies. All without worrying about affecting your treatment.

  • Quick treatment time

The Inbrace works round the clock to fix your teeth faster and more effectively. Its Smartwire minimizes tooth movement, aligning your teeth properly and cutting down the treatment period by months, if not years.

  • Super comfortable

The Inbrace uses GentleForce technology which automatically exerts the right amount of pressure on your teeth. This keeps your teeth comfortably in place and reduces discomfort during treatment.

  • Healthier teeth

With the Inbrace, you can be assured of superior oral treatment. Its self-driving GentleForce technology applies consistent force over your teeth, leading to strong and healthy bone, gums and roots.

How much does the Inbrace cost?

While individual pricing may vary with the extent of treatment required, in general, the Inbrace costs roughly the same as clear aligners. So basically you get double the benefit for the same price!

Who can qualify for Inbrace therapy?

The minimum recommended age for getting Inbrace treatment is 15 years.

Can your insurance cover be applied to your Inbrace treatment?

Yes, insurance plans can be adjusted to cover your Inbrace treatment.

This can be perfect for adults and teenagers who are self-conscious about wearing traditional metal braces. Invisalign are also removable so that you are able to take them out if you want to eat or for any other reason. While you do need to keep them in for a certain amount of time each day in order for them to be effective, you do have the ability to take them out for comfort.

Invisalign Treatment

We always want to provide knowledge and information regarding treatment options that are offered in our office. Here’s some information on Invisalign – few myths, what you need to know, and how it works.

MYTH: Invisalign treatment doesn’t work/you won’t get the same results as braces.

Invisalign can provide the same results as traditional braces. As long as you are diligent about wearing your aligners as instructed, your treatment should go according to plan. Not all orthodontists are comfortable with using Invisalign, so they may or may not recommend it for your treatment. Dr. Lee and Dr. Nguyen are premiere providers and continually attend Invisalign seminars to stay up to date with all of the new advances that Invisalign has to offer.

MYTH: Invisalign is more expensive.

In most dental offices, treatment cost can get pricey for Invisalign compared to traditional braces. We want this to be a budget-friendly and great experience for you. Whether you choose traditional braces or Invisalign, the treatment cost is fairly similar so that you can choose the option that fits your lifestyle best.

MYTH: Invisalign takes longer than traditional braces.

Invisalign treatment time is, in most instances, comparable to treatment time in traditional braces.  As long as you’re wearing your aligners as instructed, 22 hours a day and only taking them out when eating and brushing your teeth, you should complete treatment in the estimated time your doctor has discussed with you.

MYTH: Invisalign is only for adults.

Invisalign treatment is for adults and teens. Teen invisalign has blue indicators to make sure our teens are wearing their aligners. Surprisingly, teens are more often our best patients!  If your child is involved in extracurricular activities such as band or sports, often teen invisalign is a great option for them since they won’t interfere with their activities.

What You Need To Know:

  • Your doctor will do a 3D intraoral scan and submit your case to Invisalign.
  • They will receive your aligners within 2-3 weeks.
  • You will wear each tray for 2 weeks for a minimum of 22 hours a day.
  • Remove your trays only to eat and brush your teeth (and if you are drinking anything colored or sugary)
  • You will have attachments on certain teeth to create tension on your trays and assist in rotating and aligning your teeth.
  • No food or hygiene restrictions! YAY!
  • No emergency, pokey wire, or broken bracket visits.
  • If you misplace a tray give us a call and we will guide you on the next steps to either getting you a new tray or moving on to your next tray.
  • Depending on how your teeth are moving with the Invisalign trays, at some point during treatment, you may need to have a refinement. This means we will take a new 3D scan and get more Invisalign trays made for the duration of your treatment.  This is done to ensure that we achieve the best possible result for you.

  • You can choose from clear/ceramic or metal brackets.
  • You will change your ties (colors) every visit so have fun with it!

  • Keeping up with excellent hygiene and maintaining regular visits to yourdentist during treatment is very important.

The First Week With Braces

Everyone’s experience with braces is a little different – it depends on your pain threshold and how your teeth move overall. Some people report high levels of discomfort and others report very little. Either way your teeth start moving soon after your braces are on! During the first week, try to eat soft foods: mac and cheese, noodles, soups, smoothies, and ice cream! You probably won’t feel like eating a steak or salad. You may feel like your teeth are a little loose… this is very common and to be expected. Your teeth will be moving and aligning throughout your treatment, so you should expect that sometimes your bite may feel a bit different as well as it transitions to a new, better position.

Emergencies

Fortunately, with orthodontic treatment, there isn’t ever really a true “emergency”. If you ever have a broken bracket, pokey wire, or any other concerns give us a call at the office and we will do one of the following things:

  • Guide you through clipping your pokey wire
  • Schedule you to come in
  • Adjust the length of time for your next visit to re-bond your broken bracket

The Importance Of Your Initial Consultations

The Importance Of Your Initial Consultations

Making the commitment to start your Orthodontic treatment is a big decision. We completely understand and don’t think it’s something you should rush into. Here are some things to consider, and questions to ask your treatment coordinators and doctors during the consultation.

Finding The Right Orthodontist

Do your research on your orthodontist:

  • Yelp them!  Look on Yelp since this is where happy and unhappy patients go to bring awareness about anything they love or don’t love.
  • Check if your orthodontists are Board Certified! Only 1 out of every 3 orthodontists is Board certified.  It means they went through additional testing and extensive certification to demonstrate the judgment, skills and knowledge required for providing the highest level of patient care
  • Look at the educational background and where they did their training.
  • Look up their website and any other social media outlets for their practice.
  • When going to the practice pay attention to how they interact with their patients.
  • Ask around, ask your friends and family who they recommend and where they went? How was their experience?

Insurance

Do you have insurance benefits? Most offices will be more than happy to check your insurance coverage for you. Typically, a PPO insurance will cover anywhere from $500-$2000 of the cost if you have Orthodontics coverage.

Financial Options

Orthodontics treatment isn’t cheap but it is an investment in your smile for the rest of your life! You want this to be as convenient as possible. Look at what types of financial options are available.

  • Care Credit– Health care credit card you apply for and you can use it for anything medical/dental-related. The office selects how many months interest free 12 or 18 months and you may put the full balance on the card or a selected amount. This also allows you to avoid a down payment.
  • Interest-free In-house monthly payments – Most Orthodontics offices have some type of payment plan for the duration of treatment where you can make monthly payments interest free. Typically, it is handled through Orthobanc or gets automatically drafted from your checking account.
  • FSA/HSA Reimbursement or monthly payments- You can use these for your Orthodontics treatment! Everyone’s FSA plan works a little differently but find out if you can use it for your monthly payments. Ask for an itemized receipt to be reimbursed if paying with a different method.
  • Paid in full discount- Are you planning on paying in full? Find out if there is a paid in full discount for paying with cash/check/card.

Office visits

You will be committing to going to this office once every 4-8 weeks for the duration of your treatment, so make sure your schedule works with the office. Things to think about when scheduling consultations and during your visit:

  • What days and times are they available?
  • How long are your future appointments
  • How punctual is the office?
  • What happens if you need to reschedule? Will they be able to fit you in the same week or following week?
  • How is the front office? Were they accommodating and friendly when you scheduled your consultation?

Life happens! The last thing you want is to have to cancel an appointment and not be able to get in until 4 weeks out! Make sure you know the flexibility of the office on rescheduling you. Pay attention to who you’re speaking with on the phone and who is at the front office … they will either make your life difficult or super easy when it comes to appointments! Ask yourself is this someone you will want to deal with during your orthodontic experience.
