I have had the pleasure of directing smile transformations for more than 18 years. I’ve worked in every role of an Orthodontics office and I’m still eager to learn about new techniques or products to improve the process. I love the excitement that surrounds the journey of Orthodontics, the anticipation in the beginning, the dedication it takes during the monthly treatment visits and the reward at the end when another Son or Daughter reveals a beaming smile to their mom and dad! Being a part of Sons and Daughters is my most rewarding journey yet. My role is to educate my patients on everything from understanding how braces work and how to care for them to maximizing insurance benefits to keep their cost down. I know this is a big decision for you and your family, so I am here to guide you through every step! If I am not at work you can find me cheering for my daughter at her softball games or curling my toes in the sand soaking up the California sunshine. My family is my source of joy and the roots behind my dedication to excellence. To the field of Orthodontics I am no stranger. Starting my journey to become a Registered Dental Assistant in 2002, I had no interest in any other field of dentistry other than orthodontics. The idea that the transformation of a smile could change a person’s confidence and self-esteem is something I knew I wanted to be a part of. Aside from this reward, developing sincere relationships with patients along their journey is something I look forward to; being able to relate to their orthodontic and personal experiences. I am excited to embrace the new advances that have and are continuing to emerge in orthodontics. I value honesty, morality and quality of work. Here at Sons & Daughters I can say that I confidently refer my family, friends and acquaintances. To be involved with a team who’s desire and excitement for our patient’s success (clinically and personally) is such a blessing! Though I am a Bryson and am married to my best friend and High School sweetheart, Everett, I proudly wear the name of Christ. Outside of the office you will usually find me on the basketball court cheering on my two sons, Everett Jadyn and Earl Jaryn. Included in my family is Inoki, our blue nose pitt bull. Additionally, I am an old soul and enjoy listening to classics from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Sam Cooke and many more.

Hello. I’m Haley! I haven’t been in orthodontics for that long but I’ve been interested in the field ever since I began my own braces journey. I’m very blessed to have the opportunity of being a part of such an amazing team here at Sons & Daughters Orthodontics. I’ve learned so much in such a short amount of time thanks to everyone and I still have a lot to learn! One of the many amazing things I get to witness here is the beautiful transformation of every smile. Outside of the office, I am a teacher and leader at my church, but I spend most of my time chasing after my happiness. My ultimate goal in life is to be content with who I am, where I’m at, and everything I’m blessed with. I love spending time with my family and friends, eating, reading, and hiking. One day, I’d love to travel the world.

Hi! My name is Kayla and I am the Sons and Daughters Brand Ambassador! I have been with S&D for two years now and have loved every single minute. Sons & Daughters is my home away from home and I absolutely adore spending time with my work family and patient friends. I spend my time in the office doing any and all things creative! From the chalkboard wall, events for schools, and filling your instagram feed with awesome content! Hey! One day you might even be lucky enough to see me bust a move when you get your braces off! I spend my time away from work, at home taking care of my puppy, Ozzy (Pawsbourne) and chasing him on his never ending need to ride the Crazy Train! Hello, my name is Cindy. I’ve worked in the orthodontic field for over 10 years. The best part of this job is when I get to interact with patients daily and be involved in their new smile journey. I’ve grown to put the patient’s needs first to deliver an efficient and comprehensive appointment at every visit.
I’m also a wife and a mom to my two beautiful kids. I love spending my personal time with them. We love outdoor activities and travel when we can. I feel very blessed to be part of S&D orthodontic, a team of dedicated people who love the work they do and provide the best services to our patients during every visit.

I found my passion for orthodontics nearly 20 years ago. Seeing the transformation people go through when they achieve their “dream smile” is amazing and I love being a part of it! I have worked every position in an orthodontic office: from sterilization to the clinical assistant, to treatment coordinator, and to my current role as the benefits coordinator. I love being a part of a team that shares my excitement for creating beautiful smiles and providing patients with an exceptional experience.
When I’m not at the office, I spend my free time with my family watching movies, baking goodies, attending my kids’ sports events or being outdoors.

I’m so lucky to have received the opportunity to start my orthodontic career with Sons and Daughters in 2021. I have been with this amazing office for a few years now and I absolutely love that I get to call this place my second home AND get to enjoy everyday with our work fam. I’ve learned so much from this incredible team and made such special friendships with our patients; I’m so beyond grateful that I get to be a part of the S&D fam with you all!
When I’m not in the office you can also catch me hanging out with my friends at Wild Goose or some local breweries, posting (poorly put together) cooking tutorials on my IG stories, going to football & baseball games, or out at a concert (I highly recommend seeing Zach Bryan or Akon live, if you can). I also have my own photography and wedding planning/coordinating business, Madly & Co., to keep me busy on the weekends!

Hello! I’m Lili. I’m a CSULB Biochemistry major graduate working towards getting into the dental profession. Dentistry has always been a love of mine since elementary.
It’s been such a pleasure working at S&D for the past 6 months. I have had the opportunity to shadow different specialties but S&D Orthodontics makes me want to pursue my career in Ortho. I love the patient interactions pre, during and post treatment. AND Dr. Nguyen, Dr. Lee and Dr. Smiley are amazing doctors/teachers. I couldn’t have had a better opportunity working and learning the ortho experience.
Outside of my education and dentistry, I have three other important things that matter the most to me. 1) I am currently the chapter president (2 years) for my church’s Vietnamese Eucharist Youth Movement. I love being that role model/big sister for the youth. 2) I’m a big fitness/gym advocate. I love going to the gym. It‘s always the highlight of my day. You can ask me anything and I’ll ramble. 3) My family is my rock. My siblings are everything to me. Let me tell you, being the older sister isn’t easy but it does come with rewards when you see the impact you make on them.

Hi friends, my name is Ivy and I am one of the orthodontist assistants here at Sons and Daughters! I have been in this field for about 2 years now, more to come ~
I became interested in orthodontics because I, myself had braces and loved the environment and energy that my orthodontist office had. Seeing the confidence that grew in me throughout my treatment is what I want to see for my patients as well. I love creating new relationships and helping people. Nothing is more rewarding than being a part of someone’s exciting journey in braces/Invisalign and seeing their amazing smile at the end!
Prior to working in Orthodontics, I worked in the food industry.
I worked at In N Out and Din Tai Fung, so you can bet customer care is my #1 priority! I always strive that my patients leave happy and feel well taken care of!
When I am not at work, you can find me at restaurants trying new food with my friends (If you have any favorite food spots, don’t be shy and share!) other than that, I also enjoy spending quality time with my family if I’m not out and about with my friends.

It is one of my greatest honors to be in the orthodontic field for the past 16 years and I am thrilled to continue this journey at SND. Hi! My name is Lily and I have been with the amazing team at Sons and Daughters since the beginning of February 2024 ~ Although I have been a previous patient with braces when I was younger, this is my first time working in the Orthodontic field and I feel so blessed to have received this opportunity. I have enjoyed every step of my Orthodontic journey with SND thus far, from interacting with patients and seeing their smile transform by the end of their treatment, and I look forward to learning much more while I’m here! Outside of the office, some things I enjoy doing are finding good eats with my friends and family, or simply watching a good show on Netflix. I love watching K-Dramas and some of my personal favorites include Descendants of the Sun, Weightlifting Fairy, and Crash Landing on You. In the near future, I hope I’m able to travel and see more of the world!

I’ve been in the world of dentistry for 20 years. The first 5 years were spent in general dentistry working alongside dentists, assisting with procedures such as cleanings, root canals, fillings etc. I also gave other specialties a whirl and found my true joy and passion once I worked in orthodontics. This is where I’ve been the last 15 years, helping to create amazing smiles and seeing people’s self esteem improve. It makes me thrilled to be a part of their journey and see their incredible transformation and to see their true personality shine. What I enjoy most about working in the field of orthodontics is getting to know each patient individually and working with them step by step to achieve a beautiful new smile.
Away from the office I enjoy spending time with my adorable boys, family and friends. I also enjoy hiking, cheering on the boys in blue (Go Dodgers!), traveling and checking out the best breakfast/brunch, spot as savory and sweet dishes are my jam!
